'As a young mother, I began a very simple self-care routine to help me manage all the chaos and exhaustion that a busy household brings. I had absolutely no spare time, and was desperate to find some sanity in my crazy days and sleepless nights.
So I began a very basic self-care ‘experiment’ of breathing mindfully for a few minutes at the bottom of my garden while the kids were asleep.
Little did I know that this simple act of ‘care’ for myself would have such a transformative effect upon me and my life …
Fast forward 20 years, and I now share my passion for self-care through yoga and meditation with students of all ages and walks of life, in a range of studio, online, corporate and educational settings.
My self-care practice continues to be an extraordinary support as I navigate the roller-coaster of life. So many of the roles I play as mother, carer, teacher, and mentor in my day are very much about ‘caring for others’ and committing to my self-care practice has empowered me to prioritise time to take care of me each day without feeling shame, inadequacy or guilt!
My practice has shown me how to cultivate balance, self-compassion, creativity and the courage to be my authentic self, for which I will be forever grateful.
I have done hours and hours of ‘hard yards’ on my meditation cushion, and have tried and tested so many different practices, methods, therapies, tools and strategies.
I am here to share with you what I have learnt (to save you a heap of time and hassle) and to teach you transformative tools and strategies so joy, contentment and calm are an inherent part of your every day too!'
